Lajpat Rai College, Sahibabad, was established in the year 1967 to meet the growing demand of education in and around this town as no other College existed in its vicinity at that time.

An idea then occurred to late Prof. Ved Vyas, a great educationist and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India and Late Prof. Dharmendra Nath Shastri, a renowned Sanskrit scholar of India, that such a College be established which could inculcate the ideas and abilities of Late Shri Lala Lajpat Rai, a great freedom fighter of India, amongst the future generation of the country along with the sense of honour in respecting the teachers, promoting cooperation amongst the people, and developing leadership qualities amongst the students.

The dream of these learned personalities became true in the year 1967 with the cooperation and financial assistance of Late Shri Lal Chand and Late Shri Narendra Mohan both being leading colonizer famous industrialists of that time.

The College is run by a registered society named “Lajpat Rai College Society”.
